About Sharon Peterson

I have a diverse background with a good foundation for Real Estate in Cochise County. I worked
in an array of fields to build upon my knowledge of sales before jumping into Real Estate. For
me, selling Real Estate was simply the next natural step in my career path. I have finally found
my ‘home’ in the Real-Estate industry.

In the mid ‘80s when I first moved with my family to the Sierra Vista area, I worked for Cochise
Pool and Spa Company as the Store Manager, building the marketing tactics and customer
relation skills that I would later find to play an important role in all forms of sales. Later in
the ’80s, I worked for Orkin Pest Control; it was during this time that I gained an extensive
knowledge of local pests and problem bugs unique to the geography and climate of Southern
Arizona. While I was highly successful in the endeavor of zapping bugs, I soon decided my
family needed me more at home.
I decided to stay at home and did child care out of my home for the next few years. This began to
strengthen my knowledge of customer relations, and I learned more about ‘personalized’ care for
everyone I interacted with. As my own two daughters grew more independent of me, I went back
to work, this time in the circulation department of the Sierra Vista Herald. I learned everything in
the department and advanced as much as I wanted to, before deciding to move on. Next, I tried
my hand in the Insurance business. I started at Sierra Vista Insurance, and soon thereafter moved
to Farmers Insurance.
It was about this time that I realized working behind a desk simply wasn’t for me. Having
worked such an array of jobs had left me with masses of knowledge and know-how. At this time,
I made a HUGE career change. I decided to take my part-time hobby of selling Tupperware and
turn it into a full-time career. I sold Tupperware for 3 years, the last 2 as a Senior Executive
Manager. After meeting all the challenges I felt were worthwhile, I again started to re-evaluate
where I was. A friend talked me into interviewing with the Broker at a local Real Estate
company. The Broker offered to pay for my schooling if I would get a license and sell Real
Estate in her office. This was just the boost I needed to step into Real Estate sales. Since this last
step in my career, over twelve years ago, I have never looked back.
I have been in Real Estate now since 1999 and love what I do. I strongly believe in education
and in my first four years I earned the designations of ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative),
MRE (Master of Real Estate Society), GRI (Graduate Realtors Institute), E-Pro (Real Estate
Computer Professional), ECO Broker (Green Friendly) and one of the most prestigious
designations for Realtors, CRS (Certified Residential Specialist). In 2004, I had taken my Real
Estate career to a new level and earned my Real Estate Broker’s License. I had gone on from my
previous company to form a Real Estate Partnership with Roy Hannon and became the Associate
Broker at Hannon Real Estate Services. In 2008, I left Hannon Real Estate Services and joined
ReMax HomeStores.
When I first joined ReMax HomeStores, I also decided that I was very concerned not only about
the current Real Estate market, but also about the future of home building, and upkeep of homes
for our future generations. I earned my ‘Green’ designation to further my knowledge and learn
how we can lessen our carbon footprint.
After some time at ReMax, I decided that Real Estate selling concepts were changing fast with
the economy. I have a great respect for continuous learning and growth in Real Estate. I felt
that I wanted to be more ‘plugged-in’ with my business and sought out a company that I felt was
more in line with my personal business goals. I looked at several of the business models that
were already in place with the Brokerages around town, and while they all had good ideas, and
plans, none of them seemed to be quite exactly what I was looking for. That’s when I discovered
Keller Williams Realty, from a friend that lived outside of Sierra Vista. I joined and helped to
start up the first Keller Williams office here to Sierra Vista. While I really enjoyed many aspects
of working with a ‘big brokerage’, I began to realize that just as my clients needed a hands on
Realtor, I too needed a hands on brokerage. I felt that being at a smaller brokerage years ago, I
had gained many valuable Real Estate skills that I still utilized today. That is why in late 2011, I
went back to work with Roy Hannon at Hannon Real Estate Services.
Together with Hannon, I have had the pleasure of helping many people successfully find that
perfect dream home to fit all types of lifestyles and all stages of life. If you are a first time home
buyer seeking that perfect place to start a family, a home to grow with as your family grows or to
simply enjoy a life together, I am here for you! I also pride myself in helping those who wish to
sell their homes. While buying and selling property can be an exciting and wonderful experience
it can at the same time be very stressful. With my extensive knowledge of all aspects in the
Real Estate industry I will strive to make your buying or selling experience an enjoyable one. I
pride myself in being one of the most educated, best Realtor in my field because I feel the more I
learn, the better I am able to address the needs, cares and concerns of all my clients. For me, my
clients and their happiness are the bottom line!
